Mr. Kuldeep Dubey has been living and working as a Civil Engineer in Dubai for the past two years. The young engineer hailing from a small town near Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh is an avid social worker as well. Recently he has come back to his hometown and took out time to share his experiences via an interview. A short extract of the same has been given below.
Interviewer : Mr. Dubey can you share some details regarding your academic and professional background?
Kuldeep Dubey : I hail from a town named Patan, which is situated 30 km from Jabalpur. I am an alumni of Omkar Namdev Saraswati Vidya Mandir Vidyalaya Patan, where I had studied from 9th to 12th. I completed my Civil Engineering degree in 2016. Soon after completion of my studies, I started designing and mapping the layout of the houses being built in Patan and Jabalpur area. During this time I also spent time learning software applications like Autocad and Revit.
In October 2017 I shifted to Dubai in search of better opportunities and luckily within 2 months I was hired by a Dubai based company. Under this organization, I got the opportunity to design and do site supervision of different projects like banks, school buildings and shopping malls. For the past 2 years I got good exposure through my job and returned home in January 2020. Presently due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic situation I have been unable to go back to Dubai.
Interviewer : Are you associated with any kind of social service. If yes can you tell us more?
Kuldeep Dubey : Talking about social work, I run an NGO named ‘Sahyog Organization’ along with a few of my friends. Under its banner, we run several different types of social work projects ranging from food and clothes distribution, education and blood donation to name a few.
Presently during the lockdown we have been continuously providing food to 30 needy families for the last 45 days. We have also distributed grocery and essential goods to daily labourers and migrant workers. You can know more about our organization at : www.facebook.com/sahyogorganization
Interviewer : Did your school have any impact on your life? and would you like to help your school in any way?
Kuldeep Dubey : My school definitely has had a positive impact on my life. Whatever I have achieved so far in my life, is due to the blessing and guidance of my teachers. They have taught me to lead a disciplined and virtuous life.
If I get a chance I would love to mentor students from my school who want to take up Civil Engineering and move abroad. Also if my skills as an engineer is ever needed by my school, I will feel privileged to help to the best of my capacity.
