Traditional Indian education system since Vedic times stressed on overall development of students. Knowledge was not limited to academic studies only but encompassed development of moral, ethical and social values as well. Modern education system has gradually lost its connection with its cultural heritage leaving it lacking in several spheres.
Value based education in India is need of the hour, where the educators should be responsible for imparting moral social and professional values to the students so that they can grow up to become strong socially responsible citizens.
