Vidya Bharati Alumni, Anupam Kumar Pandey - Dedicated Social Worker and man of many talents

Anupam Kumar Pandey, alumnus of Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Dwarahat, Uttarakhand is a gifted individual. On the professional front he is a -

• IT Analyst, Mentor, 

• Blogger, 

• Digital Marketing (Social Media) Expert, and 

• Photographer

Mr. Pandey, started his educational journey from Vidya Bharati school in Dwarahat, where he studied till class 5,and later completed his higher studies from Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam University. The Google certified Social Media Expert, started his professional career as a Quality Assurance Engineer at NIIT, Gurgaon. Professionally he has attained several achievements, few of which  are -

• Attended 'Indo-German Conference & SAP Forum' 

• Member 'SIG E-Governance & SIG ENTREPRENEURSHIP'

•  Member of 'DSCI (Delhi Chapter)'

• Member of 'ACM and D-NET'

• Member of 'World Youth Alliance'

• Met Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi at his residence

• Received Certificate of appreciation from Govt of UP (Information Dept)

• Invited to 'Twitter India Office' (among 100 people from India)

•  Judge and Mentor at ‘Google Startup Weekend’ (IIT BHU)

• Mentor at ‘UP Startup Conclave (IIM Lucknow)’

• Mentor at Delhi Startup Network  

Like most Vidya Bharati alumni, Mr. Pandey has been an ardent social worker since a very young age. He is associated with - 

• ‘Sewa Bharati’,  which is a pan India NGO working for the betterment of economically weaker sections of the society. As a pet of its activities, Sewa Bharati had introduced several welfare and social service programs in the fields of heath, education, vocational training etc.

• ‘Sanskrit Bharati’, which is a non-profit organisation working to revive Sanskrit language in India.

• Other social work: 

1. Contributed towards - 'WWF India' initiatives,'Rotary International' initiatives,'UNICEF and UNEP' initiatives,'Clean Ganga Fund','Swachh Bharat Kosh' and 'Lions International' initiatives.

2. Associated with 'Plantation and Efforts for Clean Air' awareness activity and Swachh Bharat Awareness (Spreading word about "Say No To Plastic")

3. Regular contribution towards "Disaster Relief and Rescue efforts"

4. Collaboration with different NGO and CSR teams for the solution of Society issues

5. Participated in "Great Ganga Run" (Ministry of Jal Shakti, Govt of India)

6. Participated in "India Plog Run" (Organised on Oct 2, 2019)

7. Worked as a volunteer during natural disasters such as Nepal Earthquake, Kerala floods and much more 

Due to his widespread  social work, Mr. Pandey has been honoured with awards and recognitions, such as Certificate of Honor from 'Rotary Blood Bank' and Certificate of Appreciation from UNEP (United Nations Environment Program). 

While speaking about his life’s experiences, Mr. Pandey elucidated how his school had a huge positive impact on his life.  According to him his teachers have helped him to understand the importance of Indian culture, and the need to serve one’s motherland. He also urged all Vidya Bharati students to respect and spread information regarding the vibrant Indian culture, so that others can get inspired as well.
