Chairperson of Youth Parliament of India , Global Goodwill Ambassador and winner of Bharat Gaurav Award, supremely talented Vidya Bharati alumni Parvati Jangid wears several hats.
Parvati, ex student of Vidya Bharati school Adarsh Vidya Mandir Balika Sr Sec School, Jodhpur showed her nationalistic feelings, respect for territorial integrity and raised her voice against social backwardness faced by different sections of society from a very early age. Her social leadership and commitment to serve the nation has brought her many awards including the Youngest Nationalist Social Activist, Social Personality of The Year, Women Pride Award and Bharat Gaurav Award.
Parvati Jangid is a staunch believer of women empowerment for which she has been awarded with Dainik Bhaskar Women Pride award. She holds the view that for an equal and just society women should be empowered and it can be achieved through all round education and awareness generation, particularly in village areas.
Along with women empowerment Jangid is also the only civilian who has been awarded by B.S.F (Border Security Force). She is a nationalist at heart with immense respect towards the soldiers keeping our country safe. On every Raksha Bandhan festival, she visits the soldiers, to tie rakhi on their hand and convey her respect for them.With the motive to bridge the gap between B.S.F soldiers and civilians Parvati encourages better communication and coordination between them. Her work was applauded by Indian Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi when she was awarded with Vishwakarma Ratna Award. Her nationalist views and talks also won her international recognition from America, in the form of ‘American Presidential Eagle Pin’.
Parvati, known as ‘Jodhpur ki Beti’ made India proud when she attended and put her views forth on importance of agriculture and feeling of nationalism at ‘Israel World Governance Expedition’ in October 2018. During her visit she was involved with matters of India-Israel Relations, Cultural Organization at Israel as well as Jerusalem and much more.
In the presence of Indian and Israel Government representatives, she was chosen among the top 30 young leaders in India. Her participation at Israel World Governance Expedition was hugely appreciated by several diplomats and Israel’s foreign minister. After returning from Israel she received accolades from Vasundhara Raje, the then Chief Minister of Rajasthan. She was also awarded with the prestigious ‘Chanakya Award’, for being chosen as the best delegate in Israel.
Parvati believes that Vidya Bharati can be a source of inspiration to all those who want to bring a change in society and dream of better India. She says that the thoughts installed by her school has helped her to think of innovative ideas on where our country is lagging behind and work towards a better, brighter India.
According to her, the concept of ‘Sewa bhavna’ or the inclination towards service, should be the core value of every Indian.
