Vidya Bharati alumni and member of Purv Chatra Parishad, Nilesh Dutt Pandey have been connected with Vidya Bharati for his whole life. Recently he shared his experience regarding his school and social work via interview, whose extract has been given below:
Interviewer : Please tell us something about your academic and professional journey so far.
Mr. Pandey : I was a student of Saraswati Shishu Mandir Senior Secondary School, Suryakund, Gorakhpur, U.P and passed out in 1997. Then I did my graduation from Deen Dayal Upadhyay University, Gorakhpur and my MBA form RSMT, Varanasi.
In the professional field, initially I worked for several companies in New Delhi and later joined the MDM programme in Basti and Gorakhpur areas run by Central and UP state Government where I worked for about five years. In 2016 I joined my family business, which is a placement consultancy.
Interviewer : How are you associated with Vidya Bharati?
Mr. Pandey : I feel that the time spent at school is one of the most important phases in one’s life. Good education and values received during this formative phase, can have a huge positive impact on one’s life. Since my school days at Shishu Mandir, Vidya Bharati has had a special place in my life. Inspired by the ‘Sanskars’ and values taught by my school, I decided to become an active member of Sewa Bharati and through it was associated with several social work projects. Helping the poorest of the poor and serving others has become one of the most important aspects of my life.
I am also a part of Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra Parishad and hope that in future I get the opportunity to serve Vidya Bharati more directly.
Interviewer : Would you like to give any message to the Vidya Bharati Community?
Mr. Pandey : I would request all the young students of Vidya Bharati to take ‘education’ seriously. By ‘education’ I don't mean only theoretical knowledge or mere degree, but encompassment of ‘Sanskars’, spiritual and worldly knowledge, an attitude of service to others and developing sensitivity towards those who are deprived and less fortunate than you.
Secondly don't have any expectations from anyone, not from your loved ones, your society or your country, but develop a sense of passion, courage and service to others. It is only through service that you can fulfill your life’s purpose and achieve true peace.
I hope all my brothers and sisters from Vidya Bharati will be able to achieve a positive direction in life and career, as I was able to find mine through my association with Vidya Bharati.
Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra Parishad thanks Mr. Nilesh Dutt Pandey for sharing his inspirational views with Vidya Bharati community.
