Shri Koushik Dey, an alumnus of Madan Mohan Para Sarada Shishu Tirtha, is a banker by profession and gladly shared his story with Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra team.
Mr. Dey has done his Schooling from Madan Mohan Para Sarada Shishu Tirtha, up to class 4th. Then he passed out of class 10th from Gopalnagar MSS HS School in the year 2006 and 12th in the year 2008 from Sonidevi Jain HS School which was in Dinhata Town. He completed his graduation in Mathematics from Dinhata College in the year 2010. In the year 2010, he joined ‘Praktan Vidyarthi Sangh’, where he was a Secretary.
‘Praktan Vidyarthi Sangh’ is an association where all ex-students, who have passed out from Vidya Bharati, are members. Initially only four people had formed this association where presently more than 200 people are now members. Every year cultural events are organised during Dussehra by the Secretary.
In 2011, Koushik had shifted to Bangalore for his job at ‘Mphasis Ltd’ as a Customer Representative. Then in 2014, he did MBA in marketing from Vishwa Vishwani Institute of Systems & Management Office (VVISM), Hyderabad.
In December, 2015, he got a job through campus placement at ‘Quikr India’ as an Assistant Manager. In 2016, he shifted to Indusind Bank and presently he is working in ‘Kotak Mahindra Bank' in Hyderabad since 2019 as a Relationship Manager.
Mr. Dey is originally from Dinhata but he stays in Hyderabad due to his work. His family, consisting of his parents and brother, stay in Dinhata. He visits them once in a year during Durga Pujas.
He has been associated with several social projects in association with ‘Praktan Vidyarthi Sangh’ During his tenure as a member he was responsible for arrangement of relief funds when required.
While speaking with Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra team, Mr. Dey stated that for him Vidya Bharati feels like a second home. All the teachers are like his parents. For all his achievements in life as of now, he thanks his School and Teachers the most. His school has helped him groom him in every manner whether it would be ‘Rastra Dharm’, ‘Sanskriti’ or practical life skills. He is also obliged to his teachers for their patience, guidance and unrelenting efforts made by them in order to make him what he is now.
As a parting message,Mr. Dey said that the foundation of every student is very important and only a Vidya Bharati school can prepare a student in the best way.
