Born and raised in a family with a commerce background, Mr. Rahul Jiloka had always dreamt of becoming a CA. Now when his goal has been fulfilled, he talked about what it takes to become successful in this profession. Recently he shared his experiences via an interview which has been given below:

Interviewer: Please give us a brief background of your academic and professional journey so far.

Mr. Jiloka:  I am an alumnus of Anandram Dhandhania Saraswati Vidya Mandir, where I had studied till class 10th and then completed 12th from Marwari College, Bhagalpur. I did my graduation and M. Com degree from the same college as well, which is considered as the top institution for commerce in Bihar. Along with this I had also passed my CA as well as CS examinations in 2019, which are considered as the apex qualifications for commerce in India.

Presently I am practicing in my own CA (Chartered Accountant) firm, in my hometown.

Interviewer: What made you decide to take up CA as your profession?

Mr. Jiloka: My family has a background in commerce. My uncle is a professor of commerce and a lot of my relatives are CA’s as well. So I have always been interested in the subject. Also CA provides a good career scope and additionally it gave me the flexibility to work from my own hometown as well.

Interviewer: If any Vidya Bharati student wants to follow a similar path, what suggestion would you give them?

Mr. Jiloka: This subject demands a lot of hard work and dedication. It is very risky as well, as it is not guaranteed that if you study it, you will become a CA. So if you are willing to take the risk and put in your hard work, you can go for it. Some time it takes 6 to 7 years to become a CA so one has to be persistent and focused.

Academic wise, after completion of one’s 12th, he/she can start preparing for CA course. There are several other related add on courses that one can pursue as well.

Interviewer: Are you associated with any kind of social work?

Mr. Jiloka: I am associated with RSS and take part in the events organised by the ‘Sangh’.

Interviewer: How did your school impact your life so far?

Mr. Jiloka:  For every student, their childhood school has a special place in their memory. When I joined it, at that time the school was not very big, but it gives me immense pride to see that within a very short period of time, it has grown exponentially and now it is considered as the best school in the Bhagalpur area. I am still connected with the school and visit our teachers and the students of the school frequently.

Interviewer: Can you tell us something about your family?

Mr. Jiloka:  In my family, I have my mother, father and elder sister, who is also a CA and alumni of the same school. My father is a businessman and associated with the ‘Sangh’ as well.

Interviewer: Would you like to share any message with the students of your school?

Mr. Jiloka:  For the students, I would like to say that some Convent educated students might look down upon you as you have been educated in a Hindi medium school, but never let that discourage you. Always keep your values in your heart, and work hard, and nothing can stop you from reaching your goals. Take lessons from those who have done well in their life.

Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra Parishad, thanks Mr. Rahul Jiloka for taking out time and sharing his experiences with the community.
