Shri, Devesh Agrahari, an alumnus of Saraswati H.S.School, Madhavpuram Nagod, has studied till class 12th in this school. By profession, he is a successful Banker. Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra team has interviewed him which has been given below:
Interviewer: Kindly tell us something about your professional and academic background
Devesh : I am an alumni of Saraswati H.S.School, Madhavpuram Nagod. After my schooling, I have done my graduation in Computer Science from LMCT in Bhopal. I planned to pursue my career in computers but as I passed out my graduation in 2011, when there was recession in the industry, I had failed in getting jobs related to my stream. In fact I had got an offer letter from HCL, Mumbai but since the job market was really bad at that time, they had cancelled my offer letter. After discussion with my friends and few known people, I got to know about the Diploma programme for banking. Further getting into more details about the same, I did Post graduation diploma in banking (PGDB) from IMA, Bangalore for 1 year and then sat for the bank exam and got selected in ICICI Bank – gold loan department. After a few promotions from DBM to BM, now I am the Regional manager of Udaipur region and drawing a good amount of salary. I have been working here for 7 years and this is my first job.
Interviewer: Kindly tell us something about your family background.
Devesh : I am originally from Nagod but I have been staying alone in Rajasthan for around 10 years because of my work. My parents, brother and sister stay in Nagod. My father is a retired govt school teacher and mother is a housewife. I keep going there and visit them.
Interviewer: Are you associated with any kind of social work?
Devesh : - I have been taught to think about and serve others before oneself from my school, teachers and parents. I have been a scout President in my school and thus always help people in terms of any difficulties; I visit my school very frequently whenever I go to Nagod. In any type of natural calamity, I always try to contribute towards the cause, like the way I did for J/K flood. I had raised funds at the time of flood in 2014. I am also a member of Vidyarti Parishad of my school and hence have contributed during the time of Covid pandemic as well for food distribution. Thus I have always tried to associate myself with whatever social work I can do.
Interviewer: Do you want to say something about your school or Vidya Bharati in general?
Devesh : - As I have mentioned earlier, it was my school that taught and inspired me to serve my society and my country. It helped me to give a new depth to my life, for which I am very thankful to all my teachers.
I just want to tell my fellow juniors that through Vidya Bharati only, we learn the meaning of togetherness, and we should always obey that and follow it till our last breath. We have got enough knowledge from Vidya Bharati related to Sankrit gyan, yoga, games etc from our school which we should not forget to escalate it to our coming generations. I have always been associated with Vidya Bharati till now as I feel that I am connected with my school from the heart. I also want that our school should always give Hindi language a major priority as HINDI is our Mother tongue.
Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra Parishad thanks Mr.Devesh for sharing his views with the alumni community.
