Alumni Meet at - SMB. Gita Sr. Sec School, Railway Road, Kurukshetra

On 23rd February, an alumni meet took place at SMB. Gita Sr. Sec School, Railway Road, Kurukshetra, in Haryana from 10 am onward. It was attended by more than 370 alumni and ex teachers from across India and abroad.

During the event alumni members belonging to the 1970 batch or earlier were honoured with the Golden Jubilee Award and members belonging to the 1995 batch were honoured with Silver Jubilee Award.

Several donations were also made by alumni members towards the development of the school, among which, few are as follows:

• Rupees 1 Lakh was donated towards student scholarship, 

• 50,000/- was given to the family of former teacher, Shri Kulbhushan Kalra ji. 

• 20,000/- was contributed for the development of the school library

• A water purifier was also handed out to the school administration

Few days back the alumni of the school had lost one of their beloved teacher and alumnus, Shri Brij Lal Ji. In honour of his memory, a mathematics Lab was inaugurated during the event as well.

The event was hugely successful and covered in several print media.
