Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya ji, Vidya Bharati Alumni, became the Governor of Sikkim. A first time governor, Acharya was a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council from the Varanasi Division Graduates Constituency in Varanasi district. Acharyaji's early education took place in Saraswati Shishu Mandir. He has been a student of Saraswati Shishu Mandir till 1977. In the past, he has also been the President of Municipal Development Corporation, Uttar Pradesh. He is considered a very loyal volunteer of the Sangh parivar.
