Celebrating Teacher's Day

Teacher's Day in India is celebrated on 5 September, which coincides with Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishanan's birthday, in the honour of his belief that "teachers should be the best minds in the country". The former President of India, Dr S Radhakrishnan was a well-known scholar, an advocate of edification and was a distinguished envoy, academician, and above all a great teacher.
