One of the unique features of Vidya Bharati community is that most of its alumni are highly committed to their own schools and develop a lifelong attachment with their teachers, school and peers.
One such example is Shri Gautam Kumar Jaiswal, who is not only an alumnus of Srirani Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Forbesganj, Bihar, but also presently working as a teacher of the same school. During a short interview, Mr. Jaiswal talked about the connection with his childhood school that made him join the same as a teacher.
Mr. Jaiswal completed his 10th from Saraswati Vidya Mandir in 2005 and 12th from Mithila Public School, Forbesganj in 2008. He did his graduation from Forbesganj College under B. N. Mandal University and B.Ed degree from Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga, Bihar. Presently he is working as a English teacher in his former Vidya Bharati school.
While speaking about his student life, Mr. Jaiswal recounted how he had formed a deep bond with his school and teachers at a very young age. He feels he received nothing but encouragement and support from the institution. It also helped to instil in him the sense of service and discipline which moulded his personality and helped him to become a positive person that he is today.
Mr. Jaiswal always wanted to become a teacher. The love, care and patience with which his teachers dealt with him made him realise the impact that proper nurturing at an early age can have on a student. This experience strengthened his resolve to provide the same to his own students. Thus when he applied and got the opportunity to serve as a teacher in his own school, he did not think twice before joining the institution.
Apart from his profession as a teacher, Mr. Jaiswal is also associated with several social works for the past six years. According to him every child, no matter which background, has the right to education, so during his free time he teaches children from financially weak families, who cannot afford to pay for tuition. He has also helped out and donated during natural disasters and calamities.
Ending the conversation, Mr. Jaiswal expressed his gratitude towards his school for helping him to realise his dreams and providing the opportunity to serve his society. Furthermore he urged all students to remember that the biggest competition in life is with oneself and everyone should strive to become the best version of his own.
Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra Parishad thanks Shri Gautam Kumar Jaiswal for his sharing his toughts with the community.
