Sarada Sishu Teertha, Sevoke Road - a pillar of social change

Sarada Sishu Teertha, Sevoke Road is not just a school like any other; it is a centre for social change. While imparting education, the teachers also guide students towards a spiritual and value added future. Surrounded by several convent schools within close proximity, this school continues to instil an education beyond textbooks and take students towards an excellent all-round development through sports, music, creativity and spirituality. Students are encouraged to participate in several academic, musical and sporting events which are organized by Vidya Bharati at state and national levels.  

Sarada Sishu Teertha, Sevoke Road started operating in 1993 with one classroom and grew to 40+ classrooms within years with facilities such as library, prayer room, common room, computer room, and sports ground. Currently there are 900+ students studying in the school. The school also offers a bus service so that students from faraway places can also reach school easily. 

The teachers take extra care in shaping the morals of the students from the very beginning. Shri Kanti Nirbhoy Ghosh, the principal of the school said, “It is these young students who are the future of the country. Our motto is to develop each student in such a way so that they grow up to become chief instruments in taking our country forward”.
