Being in service to one’s society and country is not a choice but one’s ‘dharma’ - Vidya Bharati alumni Puneet Tiwari, lives his life on this philosophy which he had learned during his student life under Vidya Bharati. The B.Sc honour student from Madhya Pradesh, is an ardent social worker and shared his views via an interview with Vidya Bharati alumni portal team.
Interviewer: Can you share with us your academic background so far?
Puneet: I studied in Saraswati Shishu Mandir Birsinghpur, Satna till 10th standard (2015-16 batch) and then shifted to Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Birsinghpur to complete my 12th examinations. Presently I am doing my B.Sc degree from AKS University in Satna.
Interviewer: You mentioned that you are associated with social work. Can you tell us more?
Puneet: I have been associated with various forms of social work from a very young age. For the past five years or so I have been part of tree plantation drives as well as awareness programs on various social and climate issues that are prevalent in our society.
As per Puneet, he says that he feels that he is doing something worthwhile with his life when he gets associated with social causes. “I feel as if in life I have done something for humanity. I feel very happy and good which in turn encourages me to do more. It is a pleasure to serve my country and my people. ‘Rashtra seva ,Dharm seva and Samaj seva’ are my dharma, ' says Puneet.
Interviewer: Has Vidya Bharati impacted your life in any way?
Puneet: Certainly! My personality and my thoughts have been highly influenced by the lessons that I had learned as a student during my school days from my teachers.
Apart from sound academics I inherited my ‘sanskars’, knowledge of our rich history, passion for social service and teachings of great saints from my childhood education under Vidya Bharati .
Interviewer: Would you like to share any message with Vidya Bharati?
Puneet - Vidya Bharti is a great organisation which provides top quality education to the students. My only message to the organisation is to keep up the good work and not allow any kind of deterioration in its quality of education.
