In this cut throat  competitive society, children with special needs in India, often lag behind due to lack of proper facilities. Despite the promise of universal access to education through the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (Education for All Movement), which promotes free and compulsory education for all children between the ages of 6 to 14, children with special needs are often seen to be either school dropouts or have never been to school.

Among children with special needs, as many as 44% of children with more than one disability are out of school, and children with mental (36%) and speech (35%) disabilities are more likely to be out of school than those with other kinds of disability.

Amid this dour situation, armed with diploma degrees in Special Education and  Special Education specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Vidya Bharati alumni, Praval Yadav, had one aim in mind, that is to provide support to Children with special needs.

Yadav, had passed out from prestigious Prahlad Rai Tikmani Saraswati Inter College Shikohabad (UP) in 2005. After completion of his intermediate studies and diploma degrees, he went on to  establish an NGO named ‘Margshree Inclusive Society’ for the welfare of special needs children.

In his NGO, professionals work in the field of disability rehabilitation and special education of children with special needs .

Yadav also did his higher education in National Institute for Mentally Handicapped (Hyderabad) for M. Ed in Special Education and got 1st rank in Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB). He is now working in Education Department in Delhi as a special Educator.

In spite of his busy schedule, he always manages to spend time with the children in his NGO.

Yadav’s organization has transformed the lives of more than 1000 children and people with various developmental disabilities by providing them with equal opportunities for education, skill training and therapeutic support. The team at Margshree aims to introduce students with special needs into mainstream education by reinforcing their potentials and bridging the gap with appropriate remedial education.
