Hailing from Satna district of Madhya Pradesh, Vidya Bharati alumni, Shri Deepak Agarwal, is a successful businessman. He shared his journey with Vidya Bharati alumni portal team, via a brief interview, which has been given below.

Interviewer : Please tell us something about your academic journey so far.

Mr. Agarwal: As you must be knowing, I am an alumni of Vidya Bharati. I passed my 12th from Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Krishnanagar, West Bengal, in the year 1991 and then pursued graduation in B.Com(Hons) from Degree College, Satna. After completing graduation, in the year 1994, I set up my own business of consumer products named ‘Saurabh Sales Corporation’. I have taken an agency of consumer products in Satna and by god's grace I have been running it successfully since then.

Interviewer: What about your family? Can you talk about them?

Mr. Agarwal: There is not much to say. Our family has been long time residents of Satna and presently I am still staying there with my mother, wife and young son.

Interviewer: Being a Vidya Bharati alumni, are you associated with any kind of social work?

Mr. Agarwal: It is true that Vidya Bharati has always urged its students to be more socially responsible and remember our duty towards society in general. I hold the position of ‘Vice President’ of Vindh Chamber of Commerce, as well as the ‘President’ of Electrical Merchant Association. I am also the ‘Zila Sayojak’ of Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra Parishad of Satna area. All these associations are heavily associated with several social welfare activities and I always ensure that I can reach out to as many people in need as possible. I try my best to uphold the values that have been instilled in me by my teachers at school.

Interviewer: How has been your experience with Vidya Bharati so far?

Mr. Agarwal: I have spent a lot of time being associated with Vidya Bharati, as a student and an official. From my experience, I can tell that Vidya Bharati as an institution is very unique. It doesn't just educate students, it makes responsible citizens for our motherland. Personally it has taught me the importance of service with humility. I have grown up understanding my cultural roots better, as is the case with all Vidya Bharati alumni. It has helped me to ground me and I would like to thank my teachers for their seemingly unending support and guidance.

Vidya  Bharati Purv Chatra Parishad thanks  Shri Deepak Agarwal ji for sharing his experiences with the community.
