Social Activist Sukh Ram Jani shares his story of community development work

Sukh Ram Jani an alumni of Shri Sachchiyay Aadarsh Vidya Mandir Sen. Sec, Osian Jodhpur, Rajasthan. He is an inhabitant of  historic village of Osian in Jodhpur and a passionate social activist fighting for manifold causes related to the environment, human health, betterment of girl children and much more. 

Few of the organizations that he has been involved with are: 

Jasnath Navyuvak Mandal, Osian -  He is the president of the organisation and involved with it since 2016. The 60 member team of the organization is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in and around the temples of the area. They are also involved with tree plantation and running of awareness campaigns related to  ‘Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao’.  

The National Service Scheme, Govt. of India - He has been a member since 2014 and participated in ‘Neetra dan abhiyan’ and ‘swachhta abhiyan’ under the scheme. 

Baba Ramdev Samaj Sewa Sansthan, Jodhpur - He is  a member of the organisation, which is associated with several social causes in the area. 

Amar Shaheed Sewa Samiti, Jodhpur - The organization works to support the families of army martyrs. 

Yuvaon ki Panchayat - It is a Whats app group in Jodhpur, which provides financial support the needy families of fatal accident victims.  

Apart from being associated with the above mentioned organizations, he a regular blood donor, and a youth representative for India-Vietnam youth conference on June 15th, 2018 at Delhi. 

 Sukh Ram has won several awards and recognition for his dedicated work in diverse fields of social service, such as : 

• Honored by Vice Chancellor of Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur (Rajasthan) in the year 2016. 

• Received honour from the sub-district magistrate, Osian(Jodhpur) on Jan 26th, 2017. 

• Honored by Baba Ramdev Samaj Sewa Sansthan(Reg.) Jodhpur, Rajasthan in 2018. 

• Rashtriya Shaurya Ratan Award- 2018 in Guru-gram (Haryana). 

• Achievers Award- 2018 in Patna (Bihar). 

• Received a certificate of appreciation from Rajasthan State Blood Transfusion Council, Directorate of Medical and Health Services, Jaipur, Rajasthan

Sukh Ram Jani has committed his life for the benefit of others. He is a firm believer of hard work and good intention. He thinks that every person has the power to make positive impact irrespective of his social, educational or economic status.
