Kaushal Sahu an alumnus of Saraswati Vidhya Mandir Bhander, MP started his journey as a humanitarian and social worker, with the establishment of his own unique startup named Workshopopedia along with his friend Krishnakant. After becoming deeply dissatisfied with the educational condition of students belonging to rural areas, he started the organisation with the aim of providing educational and skill building aid through different forms of workshops. The organisation secured 3rd rank in All India Competition for Best Business Startup Idea among 7000 other entries and worn cash prize amounting to 1 lakh rupees, which was handed over by renowned author Mr. Chetan Bhagat.
Kaushal and his team has organised more than 70 workshops in several schools in the past year, helping approximately 3000 beneficiaries.
Apart from running his own startup, the state/national level fencing and archery player, is associated with several other organisations pertaining to social development. Kaushal is the Regional Head of HUM Foundation (Gwalior, MP). It is an award winning foundation working to empower youth through soft and hard skills training, work readiness and providing them with exploratory opportunities that can help them kickstart their dream careers. Since its inception it has helped thousands of students and have been heavily covered by the media for their exceptional work.
Currently Kaushal is also serving as District Rotaract Representative of Rotary District 3053. International Youth Wing. It is a global network of people working on social issues and problems. It’s mission is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace.Established in the year 1890, Rotaract organization is divided zone wise in India. Kaushal has been allotted Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan as his work zone.
Kaushal also served as a team leader of a campaign organised by Muskan Foundation at Gwalior which helped to set up smart classes in government schools.
Kaushal is a firm supporter of youth empowerment and developing young entrepreneurs as he believes that they can act as key players in stabilizing the Indian economy.
Kaushal’s message to the youth is “Help those who are in need”. It is something that he had learned in his school and wants to spread the same among his fellow youths of our country.
