Recently, keen social worker, Shri Sanjay Chaudhary, an alumnus S.M.B. Gita Sr. Sec. School, Kurukshatra shared his story with Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra Parishad team via a short interview, which has been summarized below:
Mr. Chaudhary has done his Schooling till class 10th from S.M.B. Gita Sr. Sec. School and then completed his 12th from Gita Niketan Awasiya Vidyalaya in the year 1994. He has done his Graduation (B.Sc) from University College, Kurukshetra in Electronic science. Then he has done his Masters (M.Sc) in Statistics from Kurukshetra University.After successfully completing his masters, he started his Poultry feed manufacturing Business but sadly incurred losses in that and had to close the business. He started working in Govt service in the Planning department in the year 2008 and is still continuing it.
Mr. Chaudhary is originally from Kurukshetra and comes from a farming family. He stays with his family which consists of his father, mother, wife and 2 kids.
Mr. Chaudhary is very keen about social service and is associated with several social projects. He loves to help people in each and every manner he can. He runs an NGO named as ‘Hum Foundation’ for the last 6 years which mainly focuses on Environment, Education and Health. Every month, he runs a plantation and environmental awareness campaign. He said that they celebrate birthdays and anniversaries in their localities by planting trees.
He has also run a campaign called ‘Sanjha Kadam’ where they collect unused clothes, books, etc from various homes and distribute it to the poor and needy in slum areas. In the recent lockdown period, they had started a campaign named ‘Kanji Rasoi’ where they gave cooked food to more than 600 people on a daily basis, 2 times a day for around 60 days. Alongside they distributed items of daily need like soap, milk etc, 10000 masks and 35 litres of sanitizers to the poor people.
While speaking with Vidya Bharati Purv Chatra team, about his school, Mr. Chaudhary explained that his school has helped to groom him in every manner whether it could be ‘Rastra Dharma’, ‘Sanskriti’ or Indian history. He is also thanked his teachers for their patience, guidance and efforts made to make him what he is now.
As a parting message Mr. Chaudhary said that environmental education is very essential for every child.
