Dr. Durgesh Nandan, an alumnus of Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Shahpur Patori, grew up in a modest way. In spite of a financial crisis at home, his parents never compromised with his education. He was always a bright student at school which led him to complete his B Tech degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, and MTech and PHD in Very-large-scale integration (VLSI). Presently, Dr. Durgesh Nandan works as an account manager research consultant at CL Educate Ltd.
After completing his B Tech he started working as a lecturer in an Engineering college. It was during this time that Dr. Nandan realized that in order to excel in the teaching field he needed to enhance his knowledge and decided to pursue MTech and then PHD. He taught as an Assistant professor and Head of department in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, IASSCOM Fortune Institutes of Technology. He also served as a Guest faculty under SMDP-C2SD and as a Research Mentor in the Department of E.C.E., NIT, Patna.

Through this initiative Dr. Nandan offers training to farmers to elevate farming. He is also working towards developing low-cost equipment to make farming profitable and easy.
His biggest inspiration is the teachers of his school. “I was always guided by my teachers. They would visit our home and speak to our parents about our progress in studies”, mentions Dr. Nandan. He also adds, “Vidya Bharati has organized a scholarship test where students from various schools of Bihar had participated. I too had taken the test and earned a scholarship, which helped me during my higher education”.
Dr. Durgesh Nandan still visits his school whenever he gets time. He always feels grateful towards his teachers and extends help related to education of students currently studying in his school.
