Alumni Rupa Ram Vishnoi, aims to walk in the footprints of Swami Vivekananda

Swami Vivekananda, is one of the greatest spiritual leaders born in India. Along with being a spiritual teacher, he was a philosopher, great orator and passionate patriot. He worked tirelessly towards betterment of the society and dedicated his all for his country.

Rupa Ram Vishnoi, an alumnus of Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Pali in Jodhpur Rajasthan, felt spiritually inclined from a very early age . The heroic stories of great Indian leaders inspired him immensely. Later in life Vishnoi found his spiritual calling when he became a member of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, which was established by RSS member, Shri Eknath Ramkrishna Ranade in 1963.

Vivekananda Kendra has set up more than 850 branches and activity centres all over India, with the aim of actualising the vision of Swami Vivekananda. It carries out various service activities through Yoga, Swadhyay Varga (Study Circle), Samskar Varga, Rural Development, Education, Development of Natural Resources, Youth and Women empowerment etc.

To become a member of this organisation, Rupa Ram had to sit for an exam. After passing, he was given spiritual training so that he can help others free of cost. Since last 5 years Vishnoi has been a member of this organization and serving society in several ways. 

He passionately works towards development of Indian 'sanskriti' and  moral development. Every year, he helps to organise yoga day in Bhilwara, Rajasthan and is a regular participant of ‘Swachhta Abhiyan’ ( cleanliness drive ) in the area.  Vishnoi is also involved with ‘Anand Alaya’, an organisation where poor children are taught free of cost. He is an avid participant of weekly discussions pertaining to topics like state nationalism and central development of Bhilwara . 

Vishnoi is a simple man who found his life’s purpose in the service of others. He hopes to follow the path shown by Swami Vivekananda, and dedicate his life for the betterment of his country.

Visnnoi’s dedication is exemplary in its own right.
